About

With over 30 years of enriching corporate experience, predominantly within the insurance industry, I embarked on my journey with Farmers Insurance as an agent. Simultaneously pursuing my degree at the University of Michigan, I swiftly grasped the intricacies of the business.

Recognized for outstanding sales achievements, Farmers invited me to join as an employee, where I played a pivotal role in enhancing commercial product understanding and sales strategies for fellow agents.

My tenure with Farmers spanned three decades, encompassing various roles and relocations from Michigan to Ohio and Tennessee before concluding my career in Southern California.

Proficient in marketing and learning and development, I seamlessly integrated these skills into every role, even if not explicitly required.

As a dedicated educator, I imparted knowledge to agents covering products, sales techniques, processes, procedures, and contractual nuances.

My commitment to excellence extended to the development of a flood class in California, where I registered as the sole Learning and Development professional for the state, ensuring my course received CE approval.

In the final decade with Farmers, I served as the Director of Community Relations, playing a pivotal role in launching and overseeing the corporate 501(c)3. During this time, I successfully orchestrated fundraising efforts, raising millions for charity, and mobilized thousands of volunteers for local events and walks.

In 2018, my husband and I relocated to Nashville, his hometown, to be closer to family. Post-relocation, I spent five years at a local MGA, spearheading their marketing and training endeavors. Overseeing a rebranding project, I led the launch of a new website and app, streamlined external communications, and enhanced the corporate ESG policy. My role extended to curating insurance and soft skills training, including coaching, mentoring, career development, and DiSC assessments. I improved employee engagement through Best Places to Work Surveys, founded the DE&I committee, spotlighted employees monthly, and fostered partnerships with non-profits, such as the American Red Cross.

Currently serving as the board chair for the American Red Cross Nashville Chapter and Immediate Past President of the Mid-Tennessee CPCU Chapter, my commitment to community extends beyond my professional pursuits.

I have skills in organizing events, fundraising, homebuilding for charity, team leadership, and more underscore my multifaceted capabilities.

Married for nearly 30 years, I reside in College Grove, TN, with my husband, two dogs, and a cat named Yoda. Alongside my professional pursuits, I indulge in cooking and serve as a Pampered Chef consultant. Outdoor activities like mountain biking and pickleball also enrich my life.

Recently launching DunnWise Consulting, my focus lies on leadership development through personalized coaching for high-level and emerging leaders. Additionally, I facilitate workshops, including DiSC assessments, and conduct mastermind sessions for groups. My mission is clear — Transforming Visions into Business Realities.
