Thomasina is a (President) principal in Diversified Professional Coaching (DPC), LLC and maintains her own business as (CEO) of Thomasina Skipper, Business Growth Specialist, Inc.

Thomasina Etheridge Skipper was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomasina began her career with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Cleveland, Ohio as a Personal Lines Underwriter.

Two years later, Thomasina was promoted to Senior Underwriter and transferred to the Nashville, Tennessee branch office. In 1981, Thomasina left Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies to become the Vice President and General Manager of Citizen Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency which lead her to establish one of the first female-owned, independent insurance agencies in the state of Tennessee.

In 1986, Thomasina joined State Farm Insurance Companies as the first female, minority agent for the company in the middle-Tennessee area. In 1992, Thomasina was again transferred and promoted to Atlanta, Georgia as an Agency Manager. In December 1995, Thomasina became the Agency Field Executive for the Metro West Agency Field Office (AFO) in Atlanta, Georgia. In pursuit of personal development Thomasina transferred to Omaha, Nebraska. Thomasina retired from State Farm April 1, 2013.

Education, Certifications, and Boards:

Thomasina earned her bachelor’s degree in 1976 from Syracuse University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Economics.

In 2001, Thomasina completed her MBA degree from Kennesaw State University (KSU) with honors.

Thomasina was a licensed insurance agent in Property, Casualty, Life, Health and Annuities. She was also NASD licensed for Series 6, 63 &24. She is a Charter Financial Consultant: ChFC, Charter Life Underwriter: CLU and a Certified Leadership Fellow: CLF, Master Professional Business Coach: MPBC. Certified One Page Business Plan Consultant (OPBP), Can They Sell Consultant (CTS) and Extended DISC Certified. She is a member of the Professional Business Coached Alliance (PBCA).

Thomasina serves on the Atlanta Chapter of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WFIS) Board of Directors and on the non-profit Moneyweave Academy Board of Directors based in Minneapolis, MN.

She has past board experience as the Chairman of the Urban League or Nebraska Board of Directors and Women’s Fund of Omaha Board or Directors.
