Steve is a problem solver with over 39 years of experience as a Resource Manager, Operations Research Analyst, Finance Operations Officer, Budget Officer, and wealth planner. He served over 27 years as an Army officer in the Finance Corps, retiring as a colonel. He also worked for 10 years for the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, Military Personnel Policy, as the Deputy Director, Military Compensation Policy and as the Lead Analyst in the Analytical Directorate. After retiring from Civil Service, he worked for over 2 years as a Senior Relationship Manager, American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association, Wealth Management and Trust, leading a team and providing wealth planning advice. He has been a Certified Professional Business Coach since 2021. In 2024-2025 he was an adjunct professional in the Certified Leadership Fellowship curriculum, The American College for Financial Services. His coaching strengths include leadership, strategic planning, personnel management, and statistical analysis.
Steve has been married for over 43 years, and has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. He is an avid golfer, winning numerous championships and leading several inter-club golf teams at Army Navy Country Club (ANCC). Highlights include 12 years managing the regular men’s team traveling team, 4 years leading the senior men’s teams, 9 Club Championships and qualifying for the 2021 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship . He has been the varsity golf coach at Trinity Christian School for 8 years, winning the Division 2 State Championship in 2024 and 2025. He has served in a variety of volunteer leadership positions including a Boy Scout Assistant Scoutmaster for 7 years, Boy Scout Venture Crew Advisor for 4 years, 4 years as a church president, 6 years as vice president, 2 years in outreach ministry, and 3 years as property manager at Living Savior Lutheran Church, Fairfax Station, VA.
