Since graduating from the United States Military Academy, Jim has been leading soldiers and advisors. Jim separated from the US Army as a Captain after 11 years on active duty. After separating from active duty, Jim started a career in financial services. In the Army, Jim held various leadership positions in Field Artillery and Army Recruiting. He commanded a Field Artillery Battery in the Republic of Korea, to include the manning of our only active fire base on the DMZ at that time. Then Jim commanded an Army Recruiting Company during the start of the gulf war. He took command of the company that was in last position of the Recruiting Brigade and turned it into a leading Company in the number 3 position of the Brigade and number one in the Battalion.
Jim made the decision to leave the military, married his wonderful wife Judy and started a new career as a Financial Advisor. Jim has been in the financial planning industry for 28 years. Jim conducted face to face financial coaching with clients for 8 years and was promoted to a field leadership position for teams of financial advisors with offices in Virginia, Tennessee, and Florida. He also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ certificate. During this time, he coached his Advisors who provided outstanding service to their clients.

Jim and his wife Judy live in Jacksonville Florida. They have two children, Sydney and Scott who currently reside and work in Jacksonville as well.
