About

Ted Digges MSM, CPBC is the Executive Director of the Veterans Center at The American College of Financial Services, focusing on empowering active duty, veterans, and their spouses with a second career in the financial services profession. Over the past six years in this capacity he has awarded over 700 full scholarships, funded through philanthropic support from hundreds of organizations and individuals.  He hosts an annual gala where he presents the College’s annual Solider Citizen Award to some of our nation’s most respected military leaders, including Generals David Petraeus, Jack Keane, Peter Pace, Joe Robles, Ralph “Ed” Eberhart, and Admiral Joe Prueher.  He also is an Adjunct Professor of Management and Leadership, teaching the popular Decision Making Leadership Skills course in the Masters of Science in Management curriculum.

Ted gained extensive experience over the course of a 27-year active duty military career in strategic planning, customer service, logistics, and program management. His assignments included tours all over the U.S. as well as in Asia-Pacific and Europe. As a career Navy Supply Corps officer, he served both in surface ships and submarines and was designated a Joint Qualified Officer, retiring as a Navy Captain. He is the former President of a non-profit organization in Hampton Roads, Va., which focused on engaging the military community and charitable endeavors. Prior to joining The College, he was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management where he earned his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

He is the recipient of The American College’s prestigious Presidents Award for his leadership and impact; was celebrated by the Flagship and Military Newspapers of Virginia for his achievements as a local veteran at the Still Serving awards banquet; and was recognized as a Veteran of Influence by the Philadelphia Business Journal.  He has been quoted in the New York Times, MOAA magazine, WalletHub, and is a regular guest on the Ask the Expert radio show in Hampton Roads. He has published articles in Insurance NewsNet magazine, The Oakleaf newsletter, The Standard newsletter, and Connections magazine.  He is a long-time volunteer for Junior Achievement, teaching and mentoring local high school students in financial management.

Ted is a firm believer in the beneficial synergies from sharing the leadership principles developed from the active duty military experience with high potential individuals and organizations in corporate America.  He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Norfolk VA and have five adult children.
