Maren Walseth, CPBC


Maren Walseth is a former professional basketball player and is passionate about supporting leaders as they navigate challenges and change. Maren has been a teacher, coach, and mentor her entire career. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in broadcast journalism. Maren is joining DPC following a 15-year career of leadership in college athletics.

Driven by opening doors and empowering others to live out their dreams, Maren has a heart for strong, career-oriented businesswomen. Known as a problem solver, motivator, and relationship builder, she is passionate about removing self-doubt, improving self-responsibility, and partnering with people to maximize their leadership and impact within their organizations and communities.

Within her own leadership coaching practice – Elevating Leaders, LLC – Maren’s target clients are small business owners and athletic coaches. Understanding leadership in all industries can be challenging and lonely at the top, Maren’s coaching style is holistic. Addressing the symptom is where her coaching begins but diving deeper into the who and why is where the shifts take place.

As a public speaker, Maren enjoys inspiring and motivating her audience to be active participates in their own lives. That phrase being a core value of her basketball teams, and her own life, Maren firmly believes we control our journey with daily habits and active decisions.

As a student-athlete at Penn State University, Maren earned all-conference honors and competed in the 2000 NCAA Final Four in Philadelphia. She played professionally in the WNBA and in Ligue Féminine de Basketball in France. A 10-year assistant coach and 5-year head coach, at the Division 1 level, Maren has personal leadership and management experience in high stress and public spheres. Her experiences include time at The United States Naval Academy, Penn State University and North Dakota State University.

Maren lives in Philadelphia, PA and enjoys being active, cheering on her favorite teams and spending time with her family. She also serves as a college basketball television analyst.
